Touch, shape, and tell your story—one handful of clay at a time
This hands-on clay sculpting workshop invites participants to reconnect with their senses, express their creativity, and build confidence through the art of sculpting. Using soft, easy-to-mold clay, seniors (and youth partners, if intergenerational) will learn to shape simple forms like leaves, hearts, memory tokens, or symbolic objects that represent moments or values from their lives.
Clay offers a deeply therapeutic experience—strengthening fine motor skills, enhancing focus and patience, and encouraging sensory exploration. Whether you're rolling, pinching, or carving, each movement is a gentle act of creativity and self-care.
Participants are guided through step-by-step demonstrations and offered personal encouragement as they explore different textures, shapes, and themes. Throughout the session, conversation is encouraged—stories often emerge as the hands remember what the heart holds.
No prior art experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity—and get ready to shape something meaningful.
